As you look over our different handcrafted cutting boards you will notice we offer many different styles in wood and design. All of our hardwoods used are carefully selected specifically for what we consider to be cutting board requirements and are all natural with no harmful stains or dye applied to achieve coloring. Why handmade cutting boards are better then mass produced? We start our construction process from the highest grade rough cut lumber going through numerous intricate steps allowing for more visual and hands on control. Things like natural board coloring, saw blades and speeds used for cutting each different application, clamping pressures, and our 8 stage sanding process puts our boards ahead of the rest, not to mention we are extremely picky :) So will you see the difference in our handcrafted cutting boards / handmade cutting boards ? We sure hope so, some things that are noticeably different- initially most notice the glue joints, and how we keep them as tight and clean cut as needed for optimal strength, and how our woods we use have less natural imperfections then others, then the overall feel is smoother with no sharp edges.. Finish - We use a 100% food safe mineral oil finish and lastly buff a nice bees wax coat into the board for further protection.
